Range of Application
Homeopathy uses an individual and holistic approach and may be useful in many cases where conventional or naturopathic treatment have had a limited effect.
In principle, all age groups may be benefit from homeopathic treatment. It can address a wide range of health problems, from slight functional complaints to serious physical or mental illness. The effects of treatment will be limited in certain situations where the ability of the organism to regulate itself has been disturbed for a sustained period. Also, bone fractures should be taken care of by surgery, and in certain types of diabetes, the use of insulin is compulsory. Yet even in these cases, homeopathic treatment can be still be helpful as an additional support to healing or general well being.
The following list may give an idea of the broad range of possible indications for homeopathic treatment. It is by no means complete (for more detailed information see here).
- Acute as well as chronic, recurring problems
- Mental, psychosomatic and physical ailments
- Ailments of all ages: children and juveniles, adults, old people
Other situations in which homeopathic treatment can be of benefit:
- It can provide support in cases where there is no diagnosis, or tests give no results, but the patient still suffers.
- Treatment in situations where conventional medication is not indicated, e.g. in pregnancy, as homeopathic remedies have no side effects if applied correctly.
- By virtue of the holistic approach of homeopathy, patients with several health problems can be treated with one remedy.
- Homeopathy offers an alternative to the conventional medical approach for patients and their children.
